If Blackboard was the sole provider, a new company might get de facto support from the institutions just because they want a more level playing field. I agree that they are primed to take work this space hard...presuming they stay on the service side, not the curriculum/content side (leave that to the institutions). Don't know enough about Intelliworks' history...I do know that got a new CEO who is from Blackboard...so that will be very interesting. @Blackboard
